“Armenia Introduces Online Non-Cash Purchases for Personal Use, Changing Import Limits – A Step Towards Modernizing Public Procurement”

The Public Procurement Committee has announced that starting from April 1, 2024, a pilot project will be implemented to allow individuals to make non-cash purchases of goods online for personal use. This project will include goods delivered by the seller and is part of the ongoing reform of the public procurement system.

According to a report by NEWS.am, the previous limit of 200,000 AMD and 31 kg for personal purchases has been replaced with a new limit of 200 euros and 31 kg. This change was set by the European Union Advisory Group for Economic Regulation on December 20, 2017, under resolution N107.

The committee has specified that this new limit will be applicable from April 1, 2024, for imported goods into the Republic of Armenia, when intended for personal use.
