“Moldovan Parliament Commits to European Union Military Forces Agreement, Enhancing Regional Security”
The Moldovan parliament has approved the agreement on military forces of the European Union (EU) in Europe. The document states that the Republic of Moldova will ratify the agreement, which was signed on November 19, 1990 in Paris, with the option to return to its implementation. This decision is based on an evaluation of the changes in the security situation since the agreement was signed. The approval from the parliament will need to be endorsed by the country’s president. The agreement will officially take effect 150 days after the competent authorities notify the decision and the agreement.
