Minister of Defense of Armenia: Military Action to Be Used Within Legal Limits, Affirms Civilian Control

The Minister of Defense of Armenia, Aram Ohanian, is currently in the process of publishing a publication on behalf of the Republic of Armenia. When asked about the military’s use of force, he emphasized the importance of operating within the confines of the law, stating, “We must use force only within legal limits. If force is necessary, I want to ensure that it is not abused and that the military remains within its prescribed boundaries.”

Addressing concerns about potential provocations undermining military discipline, the Minister responded, “In such cases, we will make necessary differentiations.” He emphasized the significance of civilian control in maintaining military power, asserting that they are committed to exercising great care in this matter. They believe that no such occurrences will take place and that individual actions will not affect their objectives.

It is worth noting that a large number of military forces have been mobilized in preparation for the publication of the Republic of Armenia, which is scheduled for 16:00.

On May 4, Bagrat, the leader of Kirants village in the Tavush region, who has been leading the Tavush theme, arrived in Avovyan city yesterday. Today, he has moved to Yerevan and is currently in the capital.

At 16:00 today, participants of the march and affiliated citizens will come together with the publication of the Republic of Armenia. Alongside participants from Tavush, citizens from other regions of Armenia, artists, and the families of fallen soldiers have joined the march. The presence of new citizens is also seen among the participants.

The slogan “Tavush is the homeland of the Armenian people” has been expressed by the Armenian Apostolic Church and those who have joined the march.
