Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that Russia will join the second phase of international military exercises. The exercises will be conducted in three phases. The preparation for the operational and strategic exercises of the Northern military district and Navy forces has already begun based on the order of Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Putin, as stated by the RF Ministry of Defense on May 6. These exercises will focus on the “non-military (also referred to as tactical) use of special equipment.” The next day, the RF Ministry of Defense also announced the start of the “investigation of the compliance of tactical equipment used in the armed forces with technical specifications” in Belarus.
