The number of casualties and injured has increased as a result of an accident involving a bus in Syunik. According to preliminary data from the RA NSS, there are currently 4 fatalities and 9 injured. Work is continuing at the scene. On April 27, at 17:27, an emergency alert was received at the national crisis management center, reporting that a bus had gone off the road and fallen into a gorge near the village of Verin Khotanan in Syunik province. Rafael Grigoryan, the head of the administrative district of Verin Khotanan, informed NEWS.am that the bus was traveling from Yerevan to Iran and the passengers were Iranians. Grigoryan mentioned that the bus encountered brake problems. The victims have been transported to the Kapan Medical Center, while rescuers are still working at the site.
