“Fueling Up: Friday Morning Sees Significant Spike in Gas Prices, Reflecting Rising Brent and WTI Crude Oil Costs”

Gas prices on Friday morning saw a significant increase compared to the closing hours of the previous day. The price of Brent crude oil for June deliveries reached $89.35 on London’s ICE Futures Exchange, which is $0.34 (0.38%) higher than the closing price of the previous period. On Thursday, prices rose by $0.99 (1.1%), reaching $89.01. Meanwhile, WTI crude oil prices also experienced an increase during electronic trading hours on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX). The closing price for WTI crude oil was $83.86, up $0.76 (0.9%) from the previous period’s closing price of $83.57.
