“Brent and WTI Oil Prices Surge to Highest Level in March 2024, Strong Increase Expected Despite Good Friday Trading Closure”
Brent and WTI oil prices have reached their highest level in March 2024 and have seen a strong increase in the first week.
On Friday, the daily trading of both types of oil will be closed since the markets are closed on Good Friday.
In March, Brent increased by 4.6% and WTI by 6.3%. According to Dow Jones Market data, prices rose by 13.6% and 16.1% in the first week.
On Thursday, the price of Brent futures in London’s ICE Futures market increased by $1.39 (1.6%) to reach $87.48, approaching $1 towards a significant level.
The May futures of WTI oil in the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) electronic platform increased by $1.82 (2.2%), reaching $83.17, approaching $1 towards a significant level.
