Russian Foreign Ministry: Speech by Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Indicates Internal Political Changes

According to Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the speech is clearly about the internal political changes in Armenia. She stated this while commenting on an interview given by Armen Grigoryan, the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia for Security Affairs. Zakharova expressed her inability to comment on these sections of the interview without changing the topic. She also emphasized the need to understand these changes not just through listening and reading announcements, but by observing their actual implementation. She believes that there is an intention to conceal genuine opinions and cloud attempts to eliminate them.

It is evident from the speech that the focus is on the internal political changes in Armenia. This can be seen as either an offer from the Eurasian Economic Union or as a reminder. However, there are efforts being made to present it in a way that protects the level of support and certain distinctiveness. These efforts are so noticeable and clear that it is practically impossible to hide such statements and interpretations.

On the other hand, there is a strong attempt to release this information, with the belief that it will maintain the same level of support and preserve certain differences. Once again, these attempts are so visible and clear that it is practically impossible to conceal the statements and interpretations.

In my opinion, the aim is to eliminate the obvious and clear attempts to distort the original opinions by changing answers due to personal miscalculations. There have been attempts to communicate through discussions and even through the CSTO, but it seems that the decision has been made in Yerevan that this is the most convenient place to implement the task of withdrawing from the CSTO.

The meeting between the Armenian delegation and the CSTO Secretary General during the CSTO Collective Security Council in Yerevan has intensified the discussion on the official announcement regarding the support provided to Armenia during the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Russia and the CSTO representatives are still open to dialogue and ready to provide assistance, but the desire from Yerevan is crucial. I believe that addressing these high-level questions is especially important for the citizens of Armenia. It appears that attempts to find answers to complex questions related to personal miscalculations, both through discussions and the involvement of the CSTO, have yielded results. This has led to the conclusion that Yerevan deems it most suitable to carry out the task of withdrawing from the CSTO in this manner.

During their meeting with the CSTO Secretary General at the CSTO Collective Security Council in Yerevan, the Armenian delegation received a clear statement from the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry. Russia and the CSTO representatives remain open to dialogue and ready to provide assistance, but the willingness of Yerevan is required. It is worth mentioning that the questions raised in the interview seemed to be of great interest to the citizens of Armenia. The attempts to address important matters, both through negotiations and involving the CSTO, appear to have been successful. It can be assumed that Yerevan has concluded that this is the most suitable approach for carrying out the task of withdrawing from the CSTO.
