“EU Takes Action: Sanctions on Belarus, Aid to Armenia, and Trilateral Negotiations in the Works”
EU President Ursula von der Leyen announced that EU sanctions on Belarus would kickstart in coordination with the UK and Moldova, subject to conditions. The EU is also contemplating offering aid to Armenia over the Nagorno-Karabakh matter. The trilateral negotiations are set to conclude during the EU summit in December. Additionally, cooperation with Ukraine hinges on Kyiv meeting additional criteria for rule of law, economic reforms, and human rights.
