“Ukraine on High Alert: Russian MiG-31K Interceptor Launches Air Defense Exercise”
On June 19th, Ukraine announced a large-scale air defense exercise in response to the launch of the Russian MiG-31K interceptor. According to RBK-Ukraine, the country’s air defense and air mapping system reported the interceptor’s activity. The announcement was made in Kyiv at 17:14 and quickly spread throughout all regions of Ukraine. The Ministry of Defense issued a statement warning of a high-risk situation in Ukraine’s airspace due to the increased altitude of the MiG-31K interceptor from the Savastopol airbase.
