The “Hraparak” newspaper reports that domestic violence is on the rise following the events of martial law, not only during times of conflict but also in seemingly peaceful situations. Perpetrators have been collecting and destroying public shelters and buildings in order to prevent religious figures and journalists from entering. However, these shelters have not been providing support to the victims. Yesterday, one of the perpetrators managed to remove ten rooms from the collection. A woman who was cleaning the kitchen took a stand and blocked the entrance to the shelter, forcing the attackers to retreat under pressure from the residents.
