The director of the regional division of the Human Rights Defender’s Office paid a visit to the medical center in Ijevan on the evening of April 26. This visit was prompted by recent incidents involving employees of the organization who had been transferred there. Representatives from the Ministry of Health accompanied the director during the visit. The meeting with the medical center staff involved detailed discussions on various topics. As a result of these discussions, it was decided that the medical center, along with other participants, would be relocated in order to ensure that children could participate in activities related to their rights without any obstacles. Furthermore, an inclusive approach would be implemented to include children with special needs. The Human Rights Defender places great importance on protecting children’s rights, which includes their right to participate in decisions regarding their well-being, as well as access to education and other rights. It is worth mentioning that the Tavush regional division of the Human Rights Defender’s Office operates under a systematic regime.
