The current insecurity and instability in the region are making the weakness of the forces worse. It is clear that the military strength of the North Caucasus needs to be strengthened. On April 19, during the International Scientific Forum in Vordan Kosh, Iran’s military and political expert, Mehdi Sohbani, held a press conference. Sohbani mentioned that the North Caucasus is an important strategic military region in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, making it a vital geopolitical center. Considering Iran’s significance and the North Caucasus region’s impact on geopolitical changes, Iran has a direct interest in promoting security, stability, and peace in the North Caucasus since any instability in the area will directly affect Iran.
