Former Artsakh Defense Minister Samvel Babayan: “Nobody has ordered me to negotiate with Azerbaijan” – Exclusive Interview

Former Artsakh Defense Minister Samvel Babayan denied claims that he had been ordered to negotiate with Azerbaijan during a closed meeting with journalists today, November 29. The meeting took place at the National Security Service and followed the end of a closed-door review of the 44-day war. Babayan expressed frustration with those who accused him of negotiations, stating that they lacked the courage to engage in a real debate. He emphasized that he had not been given any authority to negotiate and that any documents related to negotiations would be released once the review was completed. Babayan also clarified that he did not have any such documents with him but acknowledged that his ambassador may have transferred relevant documents to Azerbaijan.
