Armenia’s Average Monthly Salary in 2024 Surpasses Expectations, Reaches New Heights

The President of the State Revenue Committee, Babken Tumanyan, has revealed on his Facebook page that the average monthly salary in Armenia in January 2024 was 267,000 drams. According to Tumanyan, the average salary in the public sector was 208,000 drams, while in the private sector, it reached 291,000 drams.

Compared to January 2023, the average wage in January 2024 experienced a 7.1% increase, with the public sector seeing a 9.8% rise and the private sector growing by 6%. The highest earning professionals were those in the information and communication field, with an average salary of 865,000 drams. Additionally, Tumanyan mentioned that individuals working in financial and insurance activities earned an average of 579,000 drams during that period.
