Iran’s external trade representative, Mehdi Safari, has expressed that Iran has the potential to transfer $60 million worth of goods annually from Central Asian countries in the Eurasian region, according to a report by Irantoday. Safari has emphasized that if these products are exported to the Muslim countries in the region, it could generate a staggering $60 billion in revenue, surpassing the revenue from oil exports. Furthermore, Safari has highlighted the importance of expanding commercial ties with neighboring nations, as it would positively impact the country’s economy and trade relations, with the support of the Ministers of Finance and External Affairs. With accessible ports such as those in the Caspian Sea region, which offer railways, roads, and maritime routes, Safari calls for the efficient utilization of these resources to facilitate the transit of goods to Central Asian countries and to improve product transit.
