On March 1 of this year, Matenadaran had a special program for members of the management of AraratBank and representatives of the Department of Finance and Planning. During their visit, the CEO of Matenadaran presented the organization’s history, mission, the importance of restoration laboratories, the need for new technologies for restoration, and the significance of international cooperation in the restoration field.

The bank’s management was introduced to the new plan for establishing a laboratory for scientific research and examination of manuscripts, as well as the preservation and study of the “Heritage of Memory: manuscripts and printed books conservation and restoration newest technologies” 13th International Seminar. The bank’s delegation expressed their interest in cooperation, highlighting the importance of scientific research and manuscript examination in preserving and studying the institution’s national heritage.

The organization representing the bank’s delegation expressed readiness to cooperate and showed interest in scientific research, manuscript examination, and the creation of a restoration laboratory. They also expressed their desire to participate in the 13th International Seminar on “Heritage of Memory: manuscripts and printed books conservation and restoration newest technologies”. A Memorandum of Understanding will be signed between Matenadaran and AraratBank on April 15 of this year, outlining the details of the cooperation and specifying the scientific research and examination of manuscripts. Additionally, a note of cooperation will be signed between Matenadaran and AraratBank.
