We have consistently expressed that the key to resolving this conflict lies in negotiations. In a press conference, Metu Miller, the Director of the Peace Corps at the United States Embassy, addressed journalists’ inquiry about whether the meeting process will commence in Washington to address the recent escalation of tension between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh region. Miller stated, “I cannot divulge the details of the upcoming meetings, but we have always emphasized the significance of dialogue. When heads of state engage in discussions with the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan, they recognize the necessity of dialogue between the two sides. We are willing to assist in facilitating this dialogue and will continue to do so, but I cannot announce any specific forthcoming meetings.”
