“Uzbekistan Urges Citizens to Exercise Caution and Secure Documents Following Moscow Attack; Journalists Face Travel Restrictions”

Following the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall in Moscow, authorities in Uzbekistan are urging their citizens in the capital city to be cautious and ensure they have all necessary documents before traveling to Russia, as identification will be required during visits. Local media outlets have reported that journalists from radio stations “Azat Yevropa/Azadututyun” were unable to board their flights from Turkey’s capital to Moscow on Tuesday. The radio stations have stated that their employees were informed that this was due to the recent terrorist attack in Moscow. During a military parade in Russia last Friday, representatives from countries allied with the Collective Security Treaty Organization, including Tajikistan and one individual from Kyrgyzstan, attended. The “Islamic State” group has claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that at least 139 people were killed and 182 injured. Russia, however, has accused Ukrainian elements without providing evidence.
