“Gavar Chosen as the Youth Capital of Armenia: Investing in the Future of Our Country”

We are here to present the current situation of our country and the work of the young people in the Armenian government. Today, on March 28, during the official opening of the “Gavar: Yerevan as the Youth Capital of the RA 2024” program in the Gegharkunik province, Vasili Maragos, the director of the Ministry of Education and Youth of the Republic of Armenia, expressed gratitude for this opportunity. Gavar has been chosen to be the youth capital, and I want to congratulate all the residents of Gavar, especially the young people, on this selection. We are closely collaborating with the Presidency of the Ministry of Education and Youth, as well as with the Ministry and the Youth Councils. We have various plans and we hope that young activists will establish youth centers to enhance their activities.

I was delighted to meet the representatives from higher education institutions who participated in the “I am Yerevan” program. I am thrilled to inform you that we have already invested 60 million euros in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Youth to develop the educational sector in Armenia.

The youth is the driving force of Armenia, and we recognize the importance of their participation in the country’s life. By sharing our own experiences, we reaffirm our commitment to continue working with the youth. We are now working with the Ministry of Education and Youth to establish a collaborative platform to implement the cooperation agreement between Armenia and the ministry. During this process, we aim to strengthen the transformations in governance and the economy in Armenia. The EM Ambassador also mentioned, “I have visited Gavar several times to discuss the upcoming youth activities.”
