The US and South Korea have established a new working group called the Enhanced Defense Task Force (EDTF) with the goal of stopping North Korean missile development. The inaugural meeting of the EDTF took place in Washington on March 27th, as reported by Reuters. According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Korea, missile development is a significant concern regarding North Korea’s nuclear and military capabilities. In response, Seoul and Washington have announced plans to address potential military disruptions caused by North Korean missile tests. This includes examining countermeasures and discussing actions that relevant parties can take.
