The decision made by the management at the Institute of New Organic Chemistry caused a strong reaction from the employees. As a result of this decision, the headquarters of the Institute of Management was transferred to the building of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia (NASC). The chemists from the Institute of Management were also relocated to the NASC, as it was determined that this matter fell under their jurisdiction. Currently, the employees of the center are meeting with the director of NASC, Zhanna Andreasyan, at the former headquarters of the Institute of Management.

To provide some context, the employees of the Institute of New Organic Chemistry started a protest on March 21st in order to request a meeting with the management and express their concerns regarding their safety. They claim that the water pipeline supplying the institute has been deteriorating for several years and now residential buildings are being constructed in close proximity. This situation poses a threat to the operations of the institute, and the employees are calling for immediate action to address it.
