French President Emmanuel Macron has expressed deep concern over the recent surge in violence in Gaza and has pledged to mediate a new ceasefire. Speaking at the COP28 climate summit in Dubai, Macron emphasized the need to redouble efforts in order to restore peace and reach a comprehensive resolution to all disputes. However, despite a temporary ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, the truce was short-lived as both sides accused each other of violating the agreement.
