The exchange of prisoners between Ukraine and Russia continues, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. In an interview with the Associated Press, Zelensky revealed that the exchanges are happening secretly, right on the battlefield. He mentioned that Ukraine is actively replenishing its exchange fund to facilitate these exchanges, which are not always public and often involve a smaller number of prisoners than desired. Zelensky also acknowledged the challenges faced by commanders in this process. Despite returning about 100 soldiers to the front line from captivity in the past month, there are still thousands of Ukrainian prisoners held by separatists.
