Armenia’s State Philharmonic Orchestra Celebrates 65th Anniversary with Spectacular Music and Dance Extravaganza

Armenia’s State Philharmonic Orchestra is celebrating its 65th anniversary with a grand concert of classical music and national dance. Organized by the Opera and Ballet National Academic Theatre, the concert will be held on December 28 at 19:00 in the theater dedicated to Alexander Spendiaryan.

The concert will feature the best performances from the orchestra’s 65-year history. In addition to the well-known works such as “Berde”, “Sardarapat”, “EnzelI”, and “Kakachner”, the audience can expect new creative projects, stage performances, and unprecedented improvisation. The concert will also introduce new members to the orchestra.

This multimedia show dedicated to the Philharmonic’s legendary 65-year journey promises a red carpet, stunning lighting and sound effects, a contemporary program, and new costumes. It will be a dynamic and grand musical program that encompasses various genres and includes the participation of international artists.

The concert is being directed by Armenia’s Honored Art Worker Aram Sargsyan, with Hayk Grigoryan serving as the artistic director of the music part. Anna Kalashyan is the ballet mistress, and Astur Kalashyan is the main ballet master.

In other news, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia has allocated AMD 28 million to the State Philharmonic Orchestra for the production of stage costumes and accessories for the symphony’s anniversary. These costumes will be presented for the first time during the jubilee concert.
