Minister of Finance Mher Grigoryan has accepted the invitation of Ronald Prasein, the regional director of the International Bank (IB) of Kovkasy, according to a source from the minister’s office. The meeting between the two discussed the key requirements for tackling the off-the-book economy in Armenia, as well as the government’s programs in place to address this issue. The regional director of IB expressed the bank’s willingness to assist Armenia in combating the off-the-book economy and to provide support and resources for cooperation. Additionally, the participants also discussed the ongoing reforms in Armenia, with a particular focus on the development of the construction sector and overall management. Minister Grigoryan took the opportunity to present the pilot project “Chessboard of Joy” during the meeting, outlining its objectives and activities within its implementation framework.
