Armenia’s State Budget Surges with 13.8% Growth in Revenues, Exceeding Expectations

The state budget revenues of Armenia for the first 9 months of 2023 amounted to 1 trillion and 708 billion drams, which is 13.8% higher than the same period in 2022, according to Minister of Finance and Economy Vahan Sargsyan. During the budget execution report discussion in the National Assembly on November 27, 2023, he highlighted that expenses for the same period totaled 1 trillion and 633 billion drams, representing a 17.2% increase compared to 2022.

The execution rate stands at 84.6%, indicating that the state budget of Armenia for the first 9 months of 2023 is in line with expectations and not in deficit. In fact, instead of the anticipated 284.4 billion drams deficit, the state budget recorded a surplus of 74.6 billion drams,” the Minister confirmed.

Notably, budget revenues from taxes and duties reached 1 trillion and 617 billion drams, which accounts for 99.9% of the projected inflows.
