In an interview with NEWS.am, the city mayor Arthur Khachikyan has announced that decisions in the negotiations within the CSTO will be in favor of Armenia and Russia. Khachikyan also clarified that although Armenia is not withdrawing from the CSTO, efforts are being made to hinder the organization’s activities. He questioned the Western partners about their proposals for ensuring Armenia’s security, as well as their willingness to deploy troops in the region. Khachikyan highlighted the lack of concrete offers from the West and the need for guarantees from the United States. He expressed confusion regarding the conflicting statements about whether the West or Russia would come to Armenia’s aid.
