“CSTO Collective Security Council Convenes in Yerevan to Address Internal and External Challenges and Enhance Counterterrorism Measures”

Today, on November 18, the city of Yerevan hosted the sitting of the Board of the CSTO Collective Security Council at the Concert Hall named after Karen Demirchyan. The meeting was centered around the challenges faced by the CSTO, both internally and externally, with a specific focus on security measures against terrorism threats and the management of minor conflicts.

Last week, Armenia’s National Assembly announced that around 50 delegates from nearly 300 countries would be attending the session. The National Assembly has taken the responsibility of hosting the visiting party.

From November 18 to 20, the CSTO Collective Security Council will continue its session in the Armenian capital, which is considered one of the organization’s key meetings. It is worth mentioning that our country has been actively promoting and preparing for the participation of other CSTO nations in this important gathering.

In a positive development, Azerbaijan has expressed its readiness to take part in the session. This demonstrates the collective determination among member countries to address important security concerns in the region.

Stay tuned for further updates from Armenia as we bring you the latest news and developments.
