A new sports club called Unisport has been established with the support of Unibank, aiming to bring together professional athletes from various disciplines and promote the development of different sports. The club’s goal is to create favorable conditions for training, enhance the development of children’s sports, and provide comprehensive support to Armenian athletes participating in international competitions.

“Unibank is not only a reliable financial partner for the country, but also a socially responsible citizen actively supporting educational, cultural, and sports programs. As the head of the Unisport club, Unibank strives to provide its support to athletes and team sports, especially football, and promote sports development,” said Mesrop Hakobyan, the Deputy Director of Unibank.

The Unisport club has already attracted renowned athletes who will be participating in the Olympic Games in 2024. These include Mikayel Mamikonyan, the world champion in Greco-Roman wrestling and double European champion, Vazgen Tevanyan, the European bronze medalist in athletics and decathlon, Elmera Karapetyan, the European bronze medalist in gymnastics and record holder, Slavik Galstyan, the European silver medalist in wrestling and double world champion, Arsen Harutyunyan, the European champion in freestyle wrestling and double world medalist, Vahe Tovmasyan, the European bronze medalist in athletics and double world champion under 23 years old, and Vazgen Tevanyan, the world champion in Greco-Roman wrestling under 23 years old.

In addition to individual athletes, the Unisport club also includes the Unisport football team, currently participating in the Armenian Premier League and ranking third in the tournament table.

“The Unisport team has demonstrated remarkable performance, playing beautiful and high-quality games. Our goal is to compete for the championship title in the Armenian Premier League and represent the country at the international level. We are glad to have Unibank as our committed supporter in the realization of our ambitious programs,” said David Khachatryan, the manager of the Unisport club.
