Government Takes Action to Restore Damaged Road Infrastructure: Minister of Defense Urges Restoration Efforts to Improve Transportation Facilities

The government has made a decision on November 17th to take control of and restore the damaged areas of the road infrastructure and transportation facilities. This decision comes after the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia appealed to the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, requesting the restoration of the destroyed barriers and railway crossings during the ongoing road improvement work.

As part of the Ministry of Defense’s efforts, it has been decided to restore several sections of highways. These include the M-2, Yerevan-Yeraskh-Goris-Meghri-Iranian Border highway from km 131+500 to km 139+000, km 142+000 to km 150+700, km 150+700 to km 167+600, km 182+532 to km 190+000, and km 196+000 to km 202+200. Additionally, the section of the M-3, Turkey’s Border-Margara-Vanadzor-Tashir-Georgia’s Border highway from km 97+020 to km 104+700 will be restored. These sections have been affected by the ongoing renovation works.

This decision is a step towards improving the road infrastructure and ensuring the safety of transportation in the affected areas. By restoring the damaged barriers and railway crossings, the government aims to provide better accessibility and convenience for commuters.
