“Advertising Companies’ Plea to Yerevan Mayor: New Distribution Indicators Threaten Industry Growth and Jobs”

More than 10 companies involved in external advertising have reached out to the Mayor of Yerevan to express their concerns about the new indicators for the distribution of external advertising. These companies have presented a set of demands, stating that if the indicators are implemented without any changes, it could seriously impede the growth of the field and even lead to the suspension of advertising activities.

The letter, addressed to the Mayor of Yerevan, also emphasizes that the companies engaged in external advertising contribute over 600 million drams in annual state payments, including taxes and local fees. With the new restrictions in place, not only will it be challenging to collect this amount, but it will also hinder the implementation of state and local programs. Furthermore, it will have a negative impact on employment opportunities and may result in the closure of companies, causing various negative consequences.

It is important to note that advertising, especially external advertising, plays a vital role in the market economy and has a multiplier effect. Therefore, any changes in this field can have both positive and negative effects. The advertising companies are willing to collaborate with the local authorities to discuss this matter and find the best possible solution.
