“Armenia and Poland Strengthen Bilateral Relations: President of Foreign Relations Committee Hosts Polish Experts”

The President of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly, Sargis Khandanyan, recently met with a group of Polish experts in Armenia. This meeting, which took place on November 13, aimed to enhance bilateral relations between Armenia and Poland. Khandanyan emphasized the crucial role played by friendly groups in promoting the development of these relations. During the meeting, the President of the Committee also discussed the security situation in the region and highlighted the consequences of the ethnic cleansing conducted by Azerbaijani authorities in Mountainous Karabakh, which affected more than 100,000 people.

In response to the request of the Polish experts, Sargis Khandanyan provided information about the agreements reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan following the Artsakh war. He also discussed the ongoing process of organizing relations between Armenia and Turkey. One significant initiative presented during the meeting was the “Roadmap for Resilience” program, which is based on principles of self-determination and self-government. Additionally, Khandanyan shared details about the measures taken by the RA Government to address the primary needs of displaced people from Lachin. The meeting also touched upon the involvement of international partners in providing humanitarian assistance. The cooperation between Armenia and the EU was highly praised, particularly the successful implementation of large-scale programs.
