Mark Libby’s appointment has undergone a consultation process and has previously been confirmed by the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations.

Mark Libby is a skilled diplomatic analyst who is fluent in Polish and French. He has previously served as the Deputy Chief of Mission to the US Embassy in Brussels and also worked as the Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs until June 2021.
