Breaking: House Fire in Armenian Village Leaves Two Hospitalized

On November 2, the national emergency management center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia received an alarming report from Shamshyan.com. The report stated that a house in the village of Gay was on fire, with a hospitalized resident. The incident occurred around 4:00 p.m. when a gas cylinder exploded in the home of a 55-year-old resident named Garun G. and a 60-year-old resident named Araksyan G. The two individuals tried to put out the fire but eventually had to escape the burning room due to feeling unwell from smoke inhalation. They were subsequently taken to the hospital with burns.

This incident serves as a reminder of the potential dangers of mishandling gas cylinders in homes. It is crucial to always follow proper safety procedures when using such devices, especially for heating purposes. The explosion and resulting fire can cause severe injuries and property damage. The prompt response from the national emergency management center ensured that the situation was handled and the injured individuals received immediate medical attention.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the gas cylinder explosion. The village of Gay, like many others in Armenia, relies on gas cylinders for heating homes during the colder months. It is important for residents to be aware of the risks involved and take necessary precautions to prevent such accidents from occurring.

This incident highlights the importance of having functioning fire extinguishers in homes. While Garun G. and Araksyan G. attempted to put out the fire using a fire extinguisher, it was not enough to prevent the escalation of the situation. Every household should have readily accessible and regularly maintained fire extinguishers in case of emergencies.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia advises residents to heed safety guidelines and seek professional help when encountering such incidents. Prevention is key, and maintaining a safe environment within homes is essential to protect oneself and loved ones from potential harm.
