Nikola Pashinyan Resumes Political Rallies in Surprise Move – Launches “Initiative for Prosperity” with Muted Reception

“Hraparak” newspaper reports that Nikola Pashinyan has resumed political rallies since the peaceful transition of power. This week, Pashinyan held daily rallies from Monday to Friday, which were attended by a large number of supporters.

This comes as a surprise to many, as there were concerns that there may be no political rallies due to the demands of the Artsakh issue and the lack of time for political gatherings. Furthermore, there were difficulties in finding solutions to these problems within a single day.

Additionally, Pashinyan’s administration has continued to hold rallies every week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, until the resolution of the Artsakh crisis, with Pashinyan leading the government and the interim committee.

Pashinyan last held a rally on August 18, following discussions on the obligations arising from the snap parliamentary elections, while the interim committee had its meeting on September 3.

Yesterday, the interim committee held another meeting, which was attended by Pashinyan, as well as the deputy prime minister Ararat Mirzoyan and other government representatives.

During the discussion, Pashinyan introduced his new “Initiative for Prosperity” with the theme of “The Chessboard of Victory”. It is noteworthy that for the first time, the “Initiative for Prosperity” introduced by Pashinyan was not well-received within the My Step alliance.

They say that we have already achieved economic prosperity, and now we need to come up with new terms. If the “Chessboard” is a rebranding of the “Period of Prosperity”, it remains to be seen.
