“Armenian National Security Services Arrest Five Suspects in Foiled Plot to Overthrow Government”

Armenia’s National Security services have arrested five suspects in connection with an alleged terror plot aimed at overthrowing the government. The NSS discovered that these individuals, along with others whose identities are still unknown, were planning to detonate bombs and engage in other activities that would endanger the public. Their plans also included breaking into government buildings and other institutions to disrupt the activities of Armenian authorities. The NSS was able to thwart the plot with the arrest of the five suspects. During search operations, investigators discovered a range of weapons, explosives, and other materials related to the alleged plot. The suspects had code named the operation “Northern Leaf Drop” and had planned to establish social media channels in Ukraine and Moldova. They also had plans to relocate their families to Georgia. The investigation is still ongoing.
