Armenia cannot remain indifferent to the closure of communication channels, according to Sarkis Khadzhandanyan, representative of the “Civic Contract” party and head of the External Relations Committee of the Armenian Parliament. He stressed that Armenia has taken the necessary steps to ensure the security of the roads that pass through its territory. Khadzhandanyan reiterated the statement made by Armen Grigoryan, Chairman of the National Security Council of Armenia, who said that Russian peacekeepers, stationed in Artsakh, are temporarily closing checkpoints in Goris and Syunik due to their working hours. Khadzhandanyan expressed skepticism about the ability of the Russian peacekeepers to prevent all incidents in Artsakh and suggested that they should not stay in the territory of Armenia.
