“The Travelers” Airline Wins Prestigious World Travel Awards, Cementing its Position as the Best in the Industry
The Armenian airline, “The Travelers,” has been honored with the prestigious World Travel Awards in the field of tourism. Competing with airlines from countries such as Bolivia, Brazil, and the United States, “The Travelers” was recognized as the best airline in the world. The awards ceremony took place in Dubai on December 1, 2023, and is considered one of the most important international tourism awards. This is the second time that “The Travelers” has received this recognition, with the first award being received in 2021.
The World Travel Awards, known as the “Oscars of the Travel Industry,” has been a benchmark for excellence in the hospitality and tourism industry since its establishment in 1993. The award was presented to “The Travelers” by Davit Vardanyan, the son of Ruben Vardanyan, the founder of the airline. Ruben Vardanyan has dedicated his life to helping people through charitable, social, educational, and infrastructure development programs that have had a global impact. Davit Vardanyan expressed hopes that his father will receive the next award himself.

“The Travelers” has also achieved a place in the Guinness World Records. It holds the record for the world’s shortest cable car and the shortest commercial flight. Additionally, the airline represents the restoration of previously inaccessible areas of Armenia and the expansion of the country’s recognizability. With a focus on safety and international standards, “The Travelers” has successfully passed numerous inspections.
The program is implemented by Ruben Vardanyan and Veronica Zonabend’s initiative, “The Return of The Travelers,” which aims to revitalize the tourism potential of the Tatvev Valley and promote the development of the local community.
