The US Department of Defense has announced that it will provide additional assistance to Ukraine in order to address their essential security and defense needs. This assistance will come in the form of up to $150 million in military aid, primarily through the use of Presidential Drawdown Authority (PDA). The aid package will include defensive systems, radar equipment, and various types of weapons. Furthermore, it will encompass military training and advisory services.

Moreover, the US Department of Defense has disclosed its plans to supply Ukraine with Patriot and NASAMS missile defense systems, which are used for air defense. These systems will also undergo modernization. The United States Assistance to Ukraine Initiative (USAI) will provide $2.2 billion for the procurement of these defense systems.

The Biden administration has already expressed its commitment to expediting the delivery of these weapons and military equipment to Ukraine. Plans for the supply of these systems are already in motion.

The aforementioned PDA package will consist of equipment and supplies from the US Department of Defense. This includes HAWK and HIMARS missile systems, artillery systems in both 155 and 105 mm variants, 81 mm mortar systems, BGM-71 TOW ATGM missile systems, Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems, as well as light weapons, ammunition, and equipment for infantry squads. The package will also encompass technical support and transportation assets for equipment maintenance and movement. Furthermore, it will include air force capabilities such as military navigation systems and advanced avionics equipment, along with various logistical support and related equipment.
