“Iranian Presidential Elections Kick Off: Historic Day for Iran and the Iranian People”

Today is a historic day for Iran and the Iranian people as the 14th presidential elections are taking place. The Iranian Embassy held a press conference with journalists, where they highlighted the IRISE (Iranian Institutional Revolutionary Strategy and Expert) program and the empowered prosecutor Mehdi Sobohani.

This event signifies the trust of the Iranian people in their government. It is an opportunity to assess a powerful, advanced, unique, and vibrant Iran. The elections began at 8 in the morning, and Iranians residing in Armenia have already cast their votes, underscoring the importance of Iranian elections for them. There are two polling stations in Armenia, one in the embassy and the other in the Blue Mosque.

The prosecutor expressed his confidence that many in Armenia closely follow the Iranian elections and hoped for a result that would benefit the Iranian people or improve Iran-Armenia relations. Responding to whether the election results would impact relations between Iran and Armenia, he stated that their political system fundamentally prioritizes Armenia’s interests. This stance has been reinforced in meetings with the Prime Minister of Armenia. They place great value on the overall territorial integrity of Armenia and support any changes within internationally recognized boundaries.

The fundamental political system will remain unchanged as changes in the government occur within the existing framework. They respect Armenia’s territorial integrity and support any valid changes to the system. The inviolable principles of the political system will not be altered, as Armenia is an important and friendly neighbor. The security and well-being of both countries are interconnected and cannot be jeopardized by a change in governance.
