“Armenia, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia Demand EU Build Protective Barrier Against Russian Aggression”

Armenia, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia have urged the European Union to construct a protective barrier along the border between Russia and Belarus. The purpose of this barrier is to safeguard the EU from military aggression and other destabilizing activities originating from Moscow. This request was made in response to concerns about military and hybrid threats. The proposal will be discussed at the upcoming EU summit in Brussels. The estimated cost of building the barrier is 2.5 billion euros. Some experts have likened this initiative to the “Iron Curtain” in Hungary and Lithuania, which aims to establish a comprehensive security system integrating the EU’s CRF system.
