Appellate Court Upholds Release of Vasgen Saghatelyan, Rejecting Judges’ Appeal – Freedom Continues for Controversial Figure

The appellate court has rejected the appeal of the judges and has upheld the release of Vasgen Saghatelyan, which means he will continue to remain free. This announcement was made by lawyer Arsen Babayan.

Just to recap, during the 83rd episode of the “Imnemnimi” podcast, Narek Sargsyan and Vasgen Saghatelyan, who had been in custody for two months while the trial of Nikol Pashinyan was ongoing, were released on May 21.

According to Judge Arman Hovhannisyan’s decision, a court hearing took place in the Avan District Court of Yerevan, where the arrest warrants were lifted, and they were placed under administrative oversight. This meant that they were not allowed to host “Imnemnimi” or any other program for a period of three months.
