“Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan Sheds Light on Dire Conditions at ‘Nork’ Infectious Disease Center During Unannounced Visit”

The human rights defender Anahit Manasyan and representatives of the organization conducted an unannounced visit on June 18 to the “Nork” Infectious Disease Center of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. Their purpose was to examine the conditions of the residents and ensure that their rights were being upheld. Anahit Manasyan, along with the center’s director Artur Melkonyan, toured the facility to assess the living conditions, sanitation, food distribution, and provision of medical assistance. The visit included individuals who had experienced poor living conditions and human rights violations, including those displaced from the Karabakh region. Anahit Manasyan stressed the importance of protecting the rights of residents in infectious disease centers to ensure effective operations. The findings from the visit will be compiled and presented to the relevant authorities, with regular unannounced visits planned in the future.
