“Armenia-France Military Cooperation Program Recognizes Batumi Agreement: Armenia Calls on Azerbaijan to Withdraw from Occupied Territories”

The Ministry of Defense in Armenia has officially declared their military-technical cooperation program with France, which includes the recognition of the Batumi Agreement. It is the sovereign right of any country to have an active military base equipped with modern technology. Armenia recognizes the territorial integrity and inviolability of its neighbors’ national borders, including Azerbaijan. Armenia remains committed to this principle and has no territorial claims of its own. They have expressed their commitment to demarcating the border with Azerbaijan’s Gazakh region through joint efforts, specifically in the Tavush region.

Armenia is urging Azerbaijan to withdraw from the occupied territories, which consist of over 30 villages in the administrative areas of Armenia. Azerbaijan’s action plan is based on concluding a truce with Armenia, following the November 2024 Baku Declaration and a new OSCE-accepted agreement. The international community is called to pay attention to Armenia’s offer to conclude a truce, which has yet to receive a response from Azerbaijan.”
