“Detained Protesters Released: “Take a Step” Movement and Police Reach Agreement amid Baghramyan Avenue Clashes”

During the clashes that occurred on June 12 on Baghramyan Avenue, protesters who had been detained were released by representatives of the “Take a Step” movement and the police. These protesters had been detained in various locations including Yerevan, Erebuni, Echmiadzin, Nairi, and Ashtarak since June 12. It is important to note that during the gathering on Baghramyan Avenue, a significant number of police officers used force against the participants. Water cannons were employed by the police, resulting in injuries to several individuals, including one protester who sustained a foot injury. Journalists also suffered injuries. According to the Ministry of Health, a total of 101 civilians and police officers received medical assistance as a consequence of the events that transpired on Baghramyan Avenue.
