“Protesters in Baghramyan resort to violence against journalists after laser pointer controversy; Chief of Police refuses to address confrontation”

During the protests in Baghramyan, some of the demonstrators resorted to throwing stones at the journalists after using laser pointers. When asked why they were using laser pointers against the journalists, Archam Hovhannisyan, the chief of police, responded with a bitter smile, “Think about how many times flashlights have been shone on their faces. Show some patience. Let them judge for themselves what the people are doing. Please don’t expect me to answer your questions.”

One citizen expressed frustration with the police’s attitude towards the protesters, stating, “They are causing trouble.” Another citizen disagreed, saying, “I’m not causing trouble, I’m resolving it.”

The police officer responded, asking, “And how do you resolve it?” To which the protester replied, “By putting an end to it.”
