During a press conference on June 10th, the spokesperson for the ruling party “Armenia” faction, Arman Ghazaryan, addressed the issue of organizing a rally requested by the ruling coalition. He emphasized the importance of considering the demands of the people, stating that there are no other alternatives. Ghazaryan highlighted the government’s previous actions, such as preventing protests from entering Demirchyan Street, as examples of active opposition repression. He expressed concerns that these repressive actions have gone beyond acceptable limits and have become a matter of public concern. When asked about the incident that disrupted the rally organized by opposition politician Aram Hokhannisian, Ghazaryan suggested that the large number of residents participating in the demonstrations had instigated the disruption out of fear. He further criticized the ruling political force for their perceived failures, citing reports of two murders occurring as a consequence of their political repression efforts.
