“Polish Company Mesko Boosts Military Production Amid Escalating Conflict: Supplying Ukraine with Anti-Aircraft Systems and Tank Shells”

The official website of the production complex has reported that Mesko, a Polish company, has started production of military boots in its footwear factory. In 2022, the factory signed a contract with the United States to supply military equipment for the Ukrainian army’s Piorun anti-aircraft systems. Moreover, in 2023, Mesko announced a collaboration with Ukraine to produce a 125 mm caliber tank shell for the Ukrainian military. The company also revealed plans to manufacture small caliber ammunition and mortar charges for Kevlar. Notably, Mesko’s military equipment, including the Piorun anti-aircraft system, has already proven effective in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

In response to the situation, Poland’s Prime Minister, Donald Tusk, declared his country’s preparedness to diversify its options in order to counter Russian pressure. However, Dmitry Peskov, an advisor to Russian President Medvedev, dismissed such statements as “ridiculous” and claimed they would not resolve anything.
