IAEA Guidance on Nuclear Security Measures Garner Global Support, Iran Among 35 Nations Embracing Cooperation
The leaders of 35 countries, including Iran, have accepted the advice of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on atomic energy management. These countries have agreed to enhance their nuclear security measures and activate cooperation with the organization. Reuters reported that initially, the proposal was rejected by the United States, France, and Germany. However, it has now been accepted by 20 countries, and two other countries are still considering it. Twelve countries are yet to make a decision.
